Last weekend, Fernando and Tess decided to do some gardening in the center since vegetables pick fresh from the garden really do taste better than the ones in the shops. We first got rid of the weeds and all children took an active part in mowing, carrying and collecting waste. Then Pratya and two volunteers went to the market buying some tree and vegetable seeds. In the afternoon, directors and children put the seeds in the soil, patted them all around and watered them. It seems that we all get back to nature on that day. Children love planting and then letting nature take over. They also learnt a lot about flowers, vegetables, shrubs and trees. Gardening is a very practical and exciting activity, we all had a good fun on gardening.
