I’ve been at the Kenya IHF centre for almost two weeks now. Something that’s hit me as especially heart-warming is the compassion and good will of the local community. Local businesses and charitable individuals are frequently dropping by the centre to offer donations and goodies for the children. Last Sunday a local couple came offering food goody bags for every one of our 86 children, plus some for the staff J These included fruit juice, chocolate, biscuits and bread rolls. The kid’s faces were a wonderful sight, although they were rather hyperactive for the rest of the day. Last week we even had a large garden of veggies donated. Such offering are such a welcomed help. Great big thanks to all those kind people in Nakuru who help brighten our day once in a while.
