Decorating the Bali center

By SHAN Jiaqian, Work-Study volunteer at IHF Bali

This week seemed to pass very quickly. After one week, I have adjusted to live at the Bali center. Despite teaching classes, I spent two days with my co-volunteers, decorating the center. The task of the decoration included drawing pictures, cutting paper and designing. Unfortunately, none of us are very good at drawing. Bali3However, in order to attempt to make the center a more attractive learning environment for the children, we tried our best to make these decorations look as good as possible.  Bali1We found some interesting pictures and some easy every-day words. We copied pictures from the internet and cut them out. Bali2If you think of this as a simple accomplishment, I just want to tell you “No!” In fact, it took us almost 5 hours to complete this task!

The reason for why I attended the volunteering programs with IHF is not only to do charity but also to challenge myself.  If you simply want to enjoy Bali, I do not recommend the IHF program. However, if you want to do something with more social value, welcome to the IHF Bali Center! You will have different, special and fantastic experience.
